The Randwick Representative teams have been selected and the following Clovelly boys were chosen to wear the myrtle green of the mighty Wicks –

The Club wishes all of the Randwick teams the very best at the State Championships over the Queen’s Birthday long weekend.

Eagles Social Saturday 30 July –

Tickets for the Social will be available from your team managers in the next few weeks. We are looking for items for the Silent Auctions so if you are able to assist please let me know.

The Eagles U12’s have one final fundraising event scheduled -

IWA Pro Wrestling at Bronte RSL on Sunday 19^th June: come along and join the U12’s at this fun filled, action packed event from 2pm on Sunday 19^th June at the Bronte RSL. It’s a great team bonding event and people of all ages are guaranteed to have a great time. See the attached flyer for more details.

ARU Wallaby ticket offer / Pathways feedback –

The ARU has a great offer available for everyone involved in junior rugby to purchase tickets to the Qantas Wallabies vs South Africa game at ANZ Stadium on Saturday, 23 July. To purchase tickets go to www.rugby.com.au/offer/club and follow the prompts.

The ARU is looking for any feedback that people have in regards to the changes that have been made to the Pathways. There is a short survey along with the opportunity to provide comments at the following link Kids Rugby Pathway page

Wet Weather Policy

For the Minis (U6 – U9) emails from Sydney Juniors should be ignored. The decision for Minis is made by Randwick Juniors on the Friday after Randwick Council decide if fields are Open / Closed. The Club communicates the decision with the Coaches & Managers to pass on to their teams. If you are ever in doubt then contact your Manager for clarification.

We are extremely lucky that Nagle Park is one of the best drained fields in Sydney so over the last couple of seasons the Minis have rarely been called off. If the fields are open then it would only be if lightening was coming down on the crossbars that games might be called off.

Remember you can always check on field closures either on the Randwick Council website (http://www.communitytext.com.au/randwick/fieldStatus.php) or their wet weather line (1800 990 760).

Macquarie Wealth Sponsorship –

I am pleased to announce that Macquarie Wealth has extended their sponsorship of the Clovelly Eagles for another 3 years. We use the money they provide to purchase new jerseys and these should be with us next week proudly displaying the Eagles emblem and Macquarie Wealth name. We look forward to continuing the strong relationship with enjoy with Macquarie wealth over the coming years.

Eagles Social Saturday 30 July

The Eagle Social is on 30 July at the Bondi SLSC. As well as being the Club’s major fundraising event it is truly one of the best nights on the eastern suburbs social calendar so make sure you keep the date free to attend.

Also, we are looking for a few volunteers to be involved in the organising Committee so if you are interested please contact me.

Coogee Oval and Nagle Park BBQ /Canteens

We still have another Coogee Oval canteen on July 9 along with Nagle responsibilities on the 23^rd & 30^th of July. Your team managers will be in contact closer to the time with your timeslots.

CANBERRA 7's

The Canberra Junior Sevens Carnival is on again in 2011. The date for the Carnival is Sunday 11th September at Dickson Ovals, Antill Street, Dickson.

The venue has changed due to the upgrade of our home grounds at Southwell Park but the new venue is only about a kilometre away.

There will only be 12 places in each age group ranging from Under 9's to Under 18's (it will be on a first in basis), and at this stage we are limiting each Club/School to one spot per age group.

You play 5 pool games if all spots are filled, with the top two from each pool playing in a finals series. There will also be a plate final between 2 teams that come 4th in the respective pools.
